Gianna Bomarito, a sophomore at Sonoma State in California, won the women's 6-kilometer maroon race in 21:44.2 at the 37th Roy Griak Invitational at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minn. Bomarito became the first female athlete from a California program to win the maroon title in meet history, helping Sonoma State secure 16th place overall as a team with 526 points.
